What We Believe
At Her Hiding Place, we believe lasting transformation happens through the truth of God's Word and the saving work of Jesus Christ. Our desire is to help women know God more deeply, understand Scripture faithfully, and live lives hidden in Christ.
Everything we teach, write, and create is rooted in Scripture. We are committed to handling God's Word carefully, teaching it faithfully, and encouraging women to grow in their love for Christ through the faithful study and application of His Word.
Scripture
We believe the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, true, and authoritative Word of God. Through Scripture, God reveals His character, redemptive plan, and will for His people. The Bible is our final authority for what we believe and how we live.
Key Scriptures: 2 Timothy 3:16–17; Psalm 119:105; Hebrews 4:12; 2 Peter 1:20–21
God
We believe there is one true and living God who eternally exists as three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each Person is fully God, equal in glory and nature, while carrying out distinct roles in God's perfect plan of redemption.
God is holy, sovereign, faithful, just, merciful, loving, all-knowing, and all-powerful. He alone is worthy of all worship, honor, and obedience.
Key Scriptures: Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 45:5; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, perfectly fulfilled the Father's will, died on the cross as the once-for-all sacrifice for sin, rose bodily from the grave on the third day, ascended into heaven, and now reigns at the right hand of the Father. He will return personally and visibly to judge the living and the dead and to establish His kingdom in fullness.
Jesus Christ is the only Savior and the only way to the Father.
Key Scriptures: John 1:1–14; Colossians 1:15–20; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Hebrews 10:10–14; Acts 4:12
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God and actively works in the lives of believers. He convicts the world of sin, regenerates those who place their faith in Christ, indwells every believer, illuminates the Scriptures, empowers obedience, produces spiritual fruit, and equips God's people to serve the Church according to His will.
Key Scriptures: John 14:16–17; John 16:8–15; Romans 8:9–17; Galatians 5:22–23; 1 Corinthians 12:4–11
Humanity
We believe every person is created in the image of God and therefore possesses inherent dignity, value, and purpose. Humanity was created to know, worship, and glorify God.
When sin entered the world through Adam, its effects extended to all humanity. Every person is born with a sinful nature, has personally sinned against God, and stands in need of His saving grace.
Key Scriptures: Genesis 1:26–27; Genesis 3; Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12–19
The Gospel
We believe the gospel is the good news that Jesus Christ lived the perfect life we could never live, died in our place for our sins, was buried, rose again in victory over sin and death on the third day, and offers forgiveness and eternal life to all who repent and put their faith in Him.
The gospel is the foundation of the Christian life and the message God uses to save sinners and transform hearts.
Key Scriptures: 1 Corinthians 15:1–4; Mark 1:15; Romans 1:16; Romans 5:8
Salvation
We believe salvation is the gracious gift of God, received through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ alone. Through His grace, God forgives sin, declares believers righteous, adopts them into His family, gives them the Holy Spirit, and begins the lifelong work of sanctification.
A life that has been transformed by the gospel produces the fruit of good works as evidence of genuine faith.
Key Scriptures: Acts 20:21; Ephesians 2:8–10; Titus 3:4–7; Romans 5:1; James 2:17
The Church
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all who have trusted in Jesus Christ for salvation. God has given the local church the responsibility to worship Him, proclaim the gospel, make disciples, faithfully teach His Word, observe baptism and the Lord's Supper, and encourage one another in the faith.
Her Hiding Place exists to encourage women alongside the local church. We believe every believer should be actively connected to a Bible-teaching local church where they can worship, grow, serve, and live in biblical community.
Key Scriptures: Matthew 28:18–20; Acts 2:42–47; Ephesians 4:11–16; Hebrews 10:24–25
Christian Living
We believe every follower of Christ is called to pursue holiness through the power of the Holy Spirit. Spiritual growth involves studying God's Word, prayer, repentance, fellowship with other believers, faithful stewardship, and joyful obedience to Christ.
Our identity is found in Christ alone. As we abide in Him, He faithfully conforms us to His image.
Key Scriptures: Romans 12:1–2; John 15:1–8; Philippians 2:12–13; 2 Corinthians 3:18
Marriage, Gender, and Sexuality
We believe God created humanity as male and female, each bearing His image and possessing equal worth and dignity.
We believe marriage is a lifelong covenant established by God between one man and one woman. Scripture presents marriage as a picture of Christ's relationship with His Church.
We believe God calls every person to live in purity according to His design. Sexual intimacy is His good gift to be enjoyed within the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman.
We believe every person is created in the image of God and should be treated with dignity, compassion, and love. As followers of Christ, we are called to speak the truth in love, extending the grace of Christ while remaining faithful to the truth of His Word.
Key Scriptures: Genesis 1:27; Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4–6; Ephesians 5:31–32; 1 Corinthians 6:18–20; 1 Thessalonians 4:3–5; Ephesians 4:15
The Return of Christ
We believe Jesus Christ will personally and visibly return. He will judge the living and the dead, fully establish His kingdom, and make all things new. Those who belong to Christ will dwell with Him forever in the new heaven and the new earth.
Key Scriptures: John 14:1–3; 1 Thessalonians 4:16–18; Revelation 21:1–5
Our Commitment
Her Hiding Place exists to glorify God by helping women know His Word, treasure Christ, and walk faithfully in the calling He has placed on their lives. Every Bible study, devotional, article, resource, and teaching is created with the prayer that women would grow in biblical wisdom, deepen their love for Jesus, and live lives hidden in Christ. Our greatest desire is that women would find their identity in Him, rest in His finished work, and faithfully follow Him for His glory.
"You are my hiding place; you protect me from trouble. You surround me with joyful shouts of deliverance."
Psalm 32:7 (CSB)
"For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God."
Colossians 3:3 (CSB)
